Ember-1 is Fireworks Research's first in-house model, released on September 23, 2026 as a Research Preview on serverless, post-trained on Moonshot's open-weight Kimi K3. Fireworks says it roughly matches Kimi K3 quality while emitting 35–50% shorter reasoning (about 40% fewer output tokens), targeting coding, knowledge work and agentic workflows. It is text-in/text-out with a 1,048,576-token context, priced at $3 / $15 per million in/out.
