Kimi K3, released by Moonshot AI on July 16, 2026, is the world's largest open-source model: 2.8T total / 104B activated parameters built on Kimi Delta Attention, Attention Residuals, and Stable LatentMoE (16 of 896 experts per token), with native vision and a 1M-token context window. Optimized for software engineering, knowledge work, deep research, and multimodal tasks, its overall scaling efficiency is ~2.5x that of K2.
